We'll Miss You Uncle Frank! Unforgettable, that's what you are. Unforgettable, though near or far. Like a song of love that clings to me. How the thought of you does things to me. Never before has someone been more. Unforgettable in every way. And forever more, that's how you'll stay. That's why, Frank, it's incredible... that someone so unforgettable... thinks we're unforgettable too.

We celebrate the life and legacy of "Uncle" Frank Potenza. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 11, 1933 and passed in Los Angeles, California August 23rd 2011.  Frank is survived by his brother Bart, daughters Ann, Sally, and Micki; their husbands Josh, Peter, and Eric; and granddaughter Franki.

"Uncle Frank has left the building."

Frank Potenza, a Korean War veteran and retired New York City police officer who found late-life fame on his nephew Jimmy Kimmel's late-night TV show, has died at 77.

"Uncle Frank" was among the first regular characters introduced on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" in 2003, Kimmel asked Potenza, a former security guard at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas and St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York, to move to Hollywood to take part in the show.

Potenza was frequently used in comedy bits or reaction shots, often to provide a dose of common sense or merely a puzzled shrug to the proceedings.

"His kindness and humor will be missed by everyone he touched," the show said in a statement Tuesday '' - Los Angeles Times
